You’ll discover the natural beauty of this magnificent region, green parks and chrystal clear lakes, you can visit medieval hamlets full of history and artistic masterpieces, all on the seat of your brand new bike rented from Tourent.

Day 1 Travel: Rome - Falls Marmore- Spoleto - Assisi

Description of the day:

Once you’ve picked up your BMW rented bike from our Tourent Centre, you will head north towards Orvieto.
A quick break at Lago di Bracciano or Viterbo and then, before you know it, you’ll be ready to explore magnificent Umbria.
Today Orvieto is waiting for you, perched on its majestic rock of tuff, with Todi and the hills of Assisi to follow.
It will be good to travel the ‘Strada del Sagrantino’, admiring the vineyards and maybe stopping for a taste, hear about how this important wine was rediscovered and wander through the villages of Bevagna and Montefalco.
Finally, you will arrive back in Assisi where, after leaving your bike in the hotel, you can visit the haunts of Saint Francis and continue with your exploration of the local cuisine.

Total: 250 km, approximately 5 h riding.

Day 2 Travel Assisi-Gubbio-Lago Trasimeno-Perugia-Assisi

Description of the day:

This morning you’re going to discover the incredible nature of Umbria along an itinerary miles from better known places to find a new facet of this region. A narrow road will lead you towards Monte Subasio and into the Parco Naturale del Monte Cucco, where you can breathe in its natural beauty before stopping for lunch in Gubbio, a medieval jewel.
In the afternoon there will be time to relax on the shores of Lake Trasimeno and you will finish the day in the streets of Perugia, the proud regional capital of Umbria.

Total: 220 km, approximately 4.5 hours riding.

What to see Gubbio, Castiglione del Lago, Perugia, Assisi

Assisi will be the starting point for discovering the medieval villages of the region, not only the most famous, but also tiny villages that are encountered along the way ... Perugia, Gubbio, Orvieto, Spello every village has its own particularities, its traditions will beautiful admire the differences and the similarities trace.
Do they expect the Strada del Sagrantino, the streets of olive oil, cured meats and local delicacies ... or maybe you prefer a route in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Benedict. Umbria is all this, and much more. Are you ready to visit it in motion?

Day 3 Travel Assisi-Spoleto-Lake Piediluco-Rieti-Rome

Description of the day:

After leaving Assisi behind and before reaching Spoleto, we suggest a short stop at Spello, a perfectly preserved medieval centre where, if you are lucky enough to visit it during the period of the Infiorata, you will see the streets transformed into an immense spectacular carpet of flowers.
From here, you will lose yourself again in nature, in the Parco Fluviale del Nera, and visit the Cascata delle Marmore and Lago di Piediluco.
And now it’s time to return to Rome and we are sure that Umbria will be well embedded in your heart and behind your visor you’ll be already thinking of your next bike trip!
